If you've never been to Niagara Falls, do it. Put it on the top of your bucket list - because it's unbelievable.
The size and the power of this enormous waterfall is so cool. Aaron and I visited the falls a few years ago and in this picture, we visited it again at a family wedding in October.
Both times it was AMAZING! Also, it's unfortunate for the U.S., but the Canadian side is much better. They have cool restuarants, casinos, bed and breakfasts and gorgeous landscaping and gardens.
Check it out if you can!
Wisconsin State Fair Park Officials are pleased to announce that the 160th Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, ended on a high note this evening at 10pm.
Hundreds of thousands of loyal Fairgoers came out to celebrate during the Fairâs annual 11-day run and take advantage of family-friendly pricing, diverse entertainment and fair traditions. Mother Nature was âfairlyâ kind this year, offering a few hot, humid days and a couple days of light rain, but mostly beautiful blue skies and light breezes, providing Fairgoers the opportunity to enjoy all that the Fair has to offer.
âIt was a tremendous Fair despite the tough start,â stated Chief Executive Officer of Wisconsin State Fair Park Rick Frenette. âWe are appreciative of the collaboration and efforts of the State Patrol, West Allis Police Department, and Milwaukee Police Department to assure our Fairgoers that the Fair is a safe, fun experience for our guests. We look forward to continuing to work with them for the 2012 Wisconsin State Fair and beyond.â
âThe attendance this year shows, that more than ever our Fairgoers are passionate about the Wisconsin State Fair, and they showed amazing support for us this year,â stated Patrice Harris, communications manager. âWe are thrilled that each year they come out to enjoy the new things we have to offer and the traditions of the Fair â the agriculture, food, music, attractions, contests and activities.â
In addition to a four percent increase in attendance, initial revenue reports reflect a significant increase of 5.6%.

I'm just getting up this fine Tuesday morning only to find out that our good friend Gavin DeGraw was assulted yesterday and hit by a taxi in New York City.
He was admitted to the hospital with a broken nose, cuts on his face and is in stable condition.
Gavin told me in an interview at the Summerfest Block Party that he was releasing his 4th studio album, "Sweeter" in September 2011 and is currently on the road w Train and Maroon 5. Get well soon Gavin!

I just spent the last week on a great vacation in Aruba! If you're looking for somewhere to go and do NOTHING for 7 days and just RELAX, this is the place for you. It is a very small island in the Caribbean about 17 miles off the coast of South America. Airtran flies there every Saturday which makes it an easy destination to get to from Milwaukee. I have never felt so rested after a vacation. I wanted to share some of my pictures from the trip including the beautiful sunsets, white sand beaches, and calming ocean.
They Got To Me...
The two guys from A Great Big World stopped by the Mix studios to sing their hit, "Say Something" and it happened...I cried.
If you have not listened to the song yet...well...I suggest you do, but don't cry :( These guys are very nice and I wish them nothing but success!
I recently spent some time a La Reve...want to see what I enjoyed?

Create a Pest Management Calendar
Is your mailbox filling with next year's calendars? Put them to use managing pests in the garden.
No, I'm not talking about smashing insects with the rolled up calendar. Instead, use them to develop a pest-monitoring calendar for next year.
Take a few minutes to review this year's garden journal. Look for notes on any pest problems you encountered. Make a note to watch for these pests in next year's calendar. This helps with early detection; a key to successful control.
Consider adding notes about the weather and control measures you tried that were effective. Try using preventative eco-friendly measures like barriers and traps to prevent problems. Covering your cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower before the cabbageworm moths are active allows you to prevent damage.
Setting out shallow cans of stale beer will help you minimize feeding damage by slugs and snails during wet weather.
A bit more information: No garden journal? This is a good opportunity to create one that includes your growing successes, failures as well as pest problems. Use a spiral notebook, three-ring binder or computer calendar or spreadsheet. Just make it easy and fun. That way you are sure to keep recording, referencing and putting your gardening experiences to work.
