"The Screen is Bigger, But Nothing is Better"
The new Entourage movie hits theaters on Friday. But if you believe the review in yesterday's New York Times, it could land with a thud. The Times reviewer, A.O. Scott, shows little mercy: "It’s about Hollywood, which is to say about the narcissism, neediness and sexual entitlement of men. It sometimes pretends to make fun of those things, but let’s not kid ourselves. You could accuse it of glamorizing the shallow hedonism it depicts, but that charge would only stick if the movie had any genuine flair, romance or imagination." Ouch. What do you think? You can read the review here, if you like. Will this stop you from seeing Entourage? Were you even planning on seeing it?

Say Whatabee?
Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee is a presidential candidate on the Republican side. Following the internet-breaking appearance of Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vogue earlier this week, someone dug up a video of the governor where he addresses transgendersim in a less than embracing manner. "Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE. I'm pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, 'Coach, I think I'd rather shower with the girls today.'" Watch the video for the rest of the comments. It's pretty clear he won't be asking Ru Paul to be his running mate - if he gets that far.

Next Up in the Octagon...
Be careful what you say, Shaquille O'Neal. During one of the NBA finals broadcasts, Shaq predicted that he could last 45 seconds with UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. In the Octagon. Turns out Shaq's got some training in MMA and Brazilian jiu jitsu, but is he ready to take on one of the fiercest fighters ever to enter the Octagon.   The folks at TMZ caught up with Ronda at LAX after Shaq said that, and asked her about it. And she thinks Shaq could last 45 seconds. No predictions from her on what would happen afterwards though...

Caitlyn Jenner Breaks Twitter Record
Caitlyn Jenner - the transformed Bruce Jenner - joined Twitter on Monday. Within four hours and three minutes, she hit a million followers. At this writing, she has 2.4 million followers - and has only written four tweets. This is one of them. Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who'da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support. — Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) June 1, 2015 The record had previously been held by President Barack Obama, who joined Twittter on May 18 and hit a million followers in four-and-a-half hours. The president even welcomed Caitlyn to Twitter - well, sort of... It even looks like he might have been among the first million.   It takes courage to share your story. https://t.co/Q7wWjV9Rxx — Barack Obama (@BarackObama) June 1, 2015

Were These Comedies Written by Nostradamus?
So social media's been going wild these past couple of days about Bruce Jenner's transformation to Caitlyn Jenner. And yesterday, social media turned up a couple of references from television comedies that may have foreshadowed the change. First, Married With Children...   Then, Family Guy...   Someone check the writing credits - I think Nostradamus was hanging around those writer rooms.

Stolen Thunder, Maybe?
Kim Kardashian took to Twitter today for a couple of f-bombing tweets. First, she was f-ing sick. Then she wanted a live-streaming website of her own so she can blast the f out of anyone talking s about her. Say what you will, but that was sort of out of character for the Kimster. What caused her to rant? No one's sure, really. But my money says she's ticked that her step-dad's Vogue cover diminished the coverage of her just-announced second pregnancy. By the way, the ranting was so out of character, even Twitter was concerned. Or so she says...   Hahahaha Twitter just contacted me to see if I've been hacked LOL #JustPregnantKeeks — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) June 2, 2015

Can You Get More Grey?
EL James, the best-selling author of the "50 Shades" trilogy, announced her newest literary endeavor yesterday. "Grey," the fourth book in the series, is the original "50 Shades" story, but told from Christian Grey's point-of-view. EL issued a statement about the event, quoted by US Weekly: "This book is dedicated to those readers who asked...and asked... and asked... and asked for this," James said in a statement. "Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place-writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe." "Grey" hits the bookstores on June 18 - if you're a real fan, you know that's Christian's birthday. (For the record, I didn't know that - it's in EL's Instagram post.)     Hello all. For those of you who have asked, Christian's POV of #FSOG is published on 18th June for his birthday. It's called GREY... I hope you enjoy it. #FiftyShades #Grey A photo posted by E L James (@erikaljames) on Jun 1, 2015 at 5:00am PDT

Blessed by Carl Reiner
Carl Reiner is truly a comedy legend. He's been a TV staple for decades.Writer, performer, producer, director - he's done it all. The folks at HuffPost.com had him on, talking about the current state of late night television. And he seems to like everything. Click here to watch the interview - looks like the HuffPosters don't like to share! But he's especially fond of James Corden, new host of The Late Late Show on CBS. And when Carl Reiner says you're unbelievable, you'd better throw that on your resume.

"JUST DO IT!"
I wish I had an explanation for this. A minute or so of Shia LaBeouf screaming "just do it!" in front of a green screen and telling me not to give up on my dreams. Um, thanks, Shia? It's hard to tell what exactly he's trying to accomplish here: Truly motivate people? Score a gig with World Wrestling Entertainment? Get a sponsorship from Nike? Yeah, I have no idea...

"What Will My Parents Really Not Be Proud Of?"
Amy Schumer and Tina Fey locked lips the other night at the Peabody Awards. So that's a story, right? Amy won an award for her show, Inside Amy Schumer, on Comedy Central. Entertainment Tonight has good coverage of it, but more important and interesting is the part at the end where Amy talks about her creative process. Check it out...

"Soon As the Vanity Fair Cover Comes Out, I'm Free"
In keeping with Kardashian tradition, Bruce Jenner - not really a Kardashian, but close enough - broke the Internet yesterday. Not really - that expression's becoming a horrible cliche. But, Vanity Fair came out yesterday with Bruce's female self, Caitlyn, on the cover. The photoshoot was done by famed photographer Annie LIebovitz. Check out the story, posted by Vanity Fair.   And if you'd care to do so, welcome Caitlynn to the Twittersphere...   I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me. — Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) June 1, 2015

Redneck Avengers - Dang, This Here's Funny!
The folks at Bad Lip Reading have a knack for putting words into people's mouths. They take clips from TV shows and sporting events and movies, and voice them over with utter nonsense that is just plain hysterical. Their latest takes on Team Avengers, with "Redneck Avengers: Tulsa Nights." This is some funny stuff, I swear!

Who Knew Ping Pong Could Be This Exciting?
We've all played ping pong - also known as table tennis - at some point in our lives, right? You get a four, five, maybe six shot volley going, and you feel pretty good about it. How about a 41-shot volley? That would be amazing. And that's just what happened here during the Commonwealth Games in Scotland when a couple of the sport's best players faced each other Check it out.     (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Watch Nigeria's Segun Toriola win an amazing 41-shot rally against Singapore's Ning Gao in the men's team table tennis semi-final at Glasgow 2014. #bbcglasgow2014http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/commonwealth-games/2014 Posted by BBC Sport on Monday, July 28, 2014

Is This Any Way to Sell a Book?
Harlequin Romances have long been known for cranking out fantasy novels about women being swept up by heroic men. Where every man has six-pack abs, and every woman has a heaving bosom and flowing locks of hair... I guess. I've only heard. But check out the way they're selling their newest title, "Never Trust a Cowboy." The theme of the video: Escape the Everyday. I guess when they've got to compete with mainstream blockbusters like "50 Shades of Grey," they've got to come up with something, right? Check out the promo - and see what you think... Who Do You Think You're Kidding?
Bob Schieffer retired from CBS's Face the Nation yesterday, and he went out as a true journalist. His guest was Jeb Bush, brother of President George W. Bush, son of President George H. W. Bush, who may or may not be a presidential candidate in 2016. Bob nailed Jeb with a question about campaign finance regulations, and Jeb answered saying he was "nearing the end of this journey of traveling and listening to people, garnering, trying to get a sense of whether my candidacy would be viable or not," and then said he hadn't decided if he was running or not. Bob wasn't buying it. "Now, you’re not telling me that there’s a possibility you may not run?" A gentlemanly way of saying, "Who do you think you're kidding?" Nicely done, Bob. We'll miss you on Sunday mornings.

Leave the Drone Alone
Lesson learned the hard way for Enrique Iglesias. He was performing in concert in a bull ring in Tijuana when he tried to grab a drone that was floating above him, taking pictures of the crowd. It's something he's done before. This time, it didn't go so well. Check out this Instagram post about it. "Something went wrong and he had an accident. He was semi-treated by crew on the side of the stage to try and stop the bleeding." He cut two fingers pretty badly, but kept performing, ending the night looking like maybe he'd been gored by a bull. He was flown to Los Angeles immediately afterwards and entirely treated there. No word on his condition.     LAST NIGHT IN #TIJUANA ENRIQUE IGLESIAS SUFFER AN ACCIDENT INTERACTING WITH THE DRONE IN THE SHOW Last night Enrique had a show at a bullfight ring in Tijuana, Mexico for 12k+ people as part of his #SexandLove world tour. During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident. He was semi-treated by crew on the side of the stage to try and stop the bleeding. He was advised to stop the show. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show. He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to LA where we was then put on a plane to see a specialist. We will continue to update as we have more info. Thank you all for your love and concern. Are You Ready for Manhattanhenge?
Manhattanhenge happens a couple of times each year. It's the name for the days on which the setting sun lines up perfectly with Manhattan's gridded streets to create some awesome pictures. Manhattanhenge happens tonight and tomorrow night. NBC New York reports the best places to witness it are cross streets like 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th streets. They recommend that you go as far east as you can in Manhattan without losing sight of New Jersey. Of course, that only works if you're in New York. So here's what it looked like a few years ago. And I'm sure you can find some decent video and shots on YouTube after tonight and tomorrow, asuming the weather cooperates.
