PLEASE...start yesterday!!! Hey! Just a suggestion...the economy is NOT the greatest, help put people "in the mood" for heading to stores. Also, 10 months of the year is more than enough for music re-runs, so go for season-happy music. Oh Yeah! Please don't stop it when the clock hits 12:00 on the 26th. The Christmas Season is still alive then, too bad the stores start ripping apart their displays. Am waiting....!
now, start the christmas spirit already. i have on my own, so why can't everyone else.
NOW! Can't wait!
Play it now! Miss it desperately.
I think you coud make everyone happy by starting the xmas music now just don't play it exclusivly ease people into in with a few an hour and work your way up. Also if you play some of the new great xmas songs along with the classics it will hold interestlonger.
Yesterday. Seriously, our kids have been waiting for Nov 1 and the start of All Christmas Music All the Time, since Oct 1. They're sincerely disappointed.
Oh and I just saw that you're hoping to make "everyone in Southeastern Wisconsin happy". Good luck with that. I hope you realize that you'll never make everyone happy. If you find the perfect time for those that want Christmas music, you'll still havethe ones that are against Christmas altogether mad at you. :)
The day after Thanksgiving. I love Christmas music but when you play it before Thanksgiving people forget about the importance of Thanksgiving. Don't skip over one holiday because you think another one is more important. Thanksgiving is all about being with family and being thankful for what we have and everyone can celebrate that. Christmas is going to be hard for some families this year and I think we should focus on what we do have and be thankful for that instead of worrying about what we don't have and how we will get a gift for everyone. Thanksgiving is important so wait until Thanksgiving is over please!
We need a little Christmas, just this very minute. We need a little Christmas now!
I would love to start hearing it now, makes work lunch more enjoyable, but like some have said play some w/other music for now (for them), then full schedule from Thanksgiving to Christmas. If the stores want us to start shopping, it sure helps to get in the spirit.
please start it now....been checking since October 31st, I only listen to your station for the christmas music each year. Please light it up!
Christmas music makes me happy. You should start playing it now!
Please start playing Christmas music now. My daughter and I look forward to it.. For those who dont want to listen to it, thats what CD's are for...
I can't believe so many people want to hear it already--PLEASE wait until after Thanksgiving! I hate that we go from Halloween to xmas right away. There may be alternatives to listen to, but I want to listen to Kidd and Elizabeth, and the music they playnow. Jess--they have Christmas music CDs too...
Why haven't you started yet?? We were so excited on Nov. 1st and turned on your station first thing and were extremely disappointed... :-(
I boycotted your station last year when you starting playing Christmas music Nov 1st. The radio stations in Milwaukee are limited and by playing Christmas music so early people who aren't readyintrested have nothing to listen to. Sprinkle it in maybe next week. Solid Christmas music.... a few days before. I like the top 40!
OH NO! Please don't start it this early. I love Christmas music, BUT I listen to your station from 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. It's way toooooo soon to start. I change stations when you start the all Christmas/all day long. And I miss you guys! Please wait until November 23rd. OK? That is still before Thanksgiving for those people that want to rush the season.
the sooner the better!!
I have been taunting my co-workers with the 24/7 christmas music for weeks!
I think that if Santa is going to start sitting in the middle of the mall and if the newest version of "The Christmas Carol" is going to be in theaters this weekend, you guys can start playing Christmas music. Being the pioneers of starting Xmas too early, you are kind of letting us down :)
NOW!!! I was so disappointed when I tuned in on Nov 1st and no Christmas music :(
Thanks for playing "games" with those of us who enjoy the Christmas music. My office now has tuned in to AOLradio, and will remain there for the season. You snooze, you lose.
ASAP (: i love the christmas mix
Start it as soon as possible. Its starting to get real cold, why not have some christmas music to go with it
It looks like the majority want it NOW. I agree. People need something to look forward to this year, it's been tough on many. Throughts of Christmas and the Holidays bring a sense of cheer and good times for most. If the stores can sell Holiday Decorations, seems like the right time to start the music!
Start the Christmas music!!!
If you guys aren't going to play Cristmas music, do you know when WRIT will be?
Now please...I've been waiting since the first of the month!
NOVEMBER 2ND!!!!! We were SO disappointed when we turned the radio on and there was no Christmas music. We don't listen to your station unless it's Christmas music, so please don't mix in other stuff. Those who want to hear other stuff can go else-where, or wait till after Christmas. C'mon, Christmas is only ONCE A YEAR!!!! Let's enjoy it while we can!!
Last year, didn't 99 start playing Christmas music right away in November? My girls dance in the nutcracker every year and begin preparing in late September. Once Halloween is over, we turn to your station to listen to Christmas music on the way to ballet. But it isn't there now.... hmmmm..... why?
Do you guys know when wRIT will start their xmas music?
Christmas music is good right after Thanksgiving. If you want to be first, if you want to add to the holiday season early because shopping is early, okay. But please 2 extra weeks is plenty. Last year was overkill. I turned off 99 until Jan.
NOW! I was so disappointed when you didn't switch over Halloween night this year. I listen WAY more when it's all Christmas than I do normally.
I would not like to hear Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. And then I would like to hear it mixed in with regular tunes, otherwise I just switch stations until January.
Play it now!!! I was hoping that I would hear it Nov. 1st. I need to get into the spirit ! Hearing it is a real energy boost for me and my family!
Please play it now!!!
Well, I can't play your game any more....Seeing as i can't stand the other music you play, you guys are off of my radio til i check the website and see the Christmas music has started. Maybe WRIT will start before you guys....I think there is one other Milwaukee station for Christmas, too.....See ya!!!
PLEASE PLAY IT ALREADY! It seems like a game of when it will start. Read the comments! Even channel 12 did the story because we're al wondering where are the bells!
I have been streaming this station at work for over 2 weeks now - but only in anticipation of Christmas music. Since last year you started on Halloween, I just assumed it would start the same time again. I've now had to resort to live365.com for my Christmas music instead.....
Thank you for waiting to start playing Christmas music. The day after Thanksgiving is great and even then, not all Christmas music. After all you are the MIX, so mix it up. I listen to you everyday except when you play only Christmas music. So, thank you again for waiting.
I was soo excited right before the 1st.All I have been talking about is three more days, two more days, then one more day. I woke up like a little kid on christmas turned on the radio. Nothing!!!!Like a lump of coal in my stocking. So I got bummed out and went back to bed.Seriously a true story.Jingo Bingo and the music some of favorite things. It brings peace and joy to the crazy season coming.
Please start now! I've been streaming a radio station from Cincinnati that went all Christmas a week ago... I'm a talk radio listener 10 months of the year, but look forward to switching over to wmyx every year on Nov 1st!
I must say I was very dissapointed when I turned on the radio Nov. 1st and did not hear the Christmas Mix. It seems to be a very sensitive subject in Milwaukee every year, and I understand your having to do what is in the best interest of your business.
What I don't understand are those that are so over-the-top against it! We're talking about a few extra weeks of Christams music. Its supposed to make you feel good, not angry! If the Christmas music gets you so upset, then I'm pretty sure WMYX is not your problem...
P.S. 94.9 in Madison is currently playing all Christmas music.
I just made a comment about this on my Facebook page. I love everything there is about Christmas, especially the music. My family thinks I'm crazy because as soon as the radio stations start to play Christmas music, that's all I will listen to until the holidays are over. I understand that not everyone is a "die-hard" Christmas music fan, so why not start it out gradually, mixing in Christmas music with the everyday playlist, until Thanksgiving and then go all Christmas after that. I think it's a good compromise for all!
please play those merry tunes soon! i was bummed when they weren't there november 1st. please put the christmas music on asap!
please please please play it now. im soooo in the christmas mood and on nov 1st i was waiting but nothing was on and i got pissed! who cares of what other people think that dont want the christmas songs to start....there is christmas stuff everywhere nowso why cant christmas songs come on too! :/ PLEASEEEE PUT THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC ON NOW!
I agree with a lot of people. MIX it up, since you are the mix and play regular music AND christmas music, then as it gets closer to christmas, go full time. BUT please, please, please play some NEW christmas music. I look the classics, but there havebeen a lot of great albums put out in the last coupe of years that deserve some rotation :-)
As much a I love Christmas music, I was shocked last year when your station began playing Christmas music the day after Halloween. It made me realize just how commericial the holiday has become. I think it's OK to start the Chrismas music a little before Thanskgiving, but please not yet, while Halloween is still a recent memory. And I do agree with Sarah, who said the Christmas music should continue several days after Christmas. It is so depressing to hear non-Christmas music the next day when the rest of us are still celebrating the season. Truthfully, that's when I turn off your station and switch to one of my many Chrismas CDs. One more thing - please continue to call it Christmas music. The word holiday is inaccurate and so overused!
Please play it now!!! I thought it would start on November 1st....but nothing. Stores are starting their christmas advertising....play the music!!! Please start now!!
start now i have been waiting a longgg time for it. It can make a lot of peopple more happy even if they are in tough times because all christmas music is joyful
Please start playing it now!! I stream the station at this time of year from Stockholm, Sweden, and I was extremely disappointed that there was no holiday music the 1st of November this year. It makes me so happy! Other people can listen to another station, right?
a lot of people are saying that they will NOT listen to your station because of the chistmas music" BAHHUMBUG scrooges".CHRISTMAS is only once a year.It is all about the kids and to see my sons face when " hey santa, hey santa" comes on makes me smile from ear to ear.if and when you find out can you please send me an e-mail?!!!!!!!!
I really would like you to start playing christmas music now. The Time Warner Cable Sounds of the Season music channel went to all christmas music on November 1st. And because I was looking for some christmas music to listen to at work I am listening toa station from Tulsa OK.
NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW WE ALL LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC AND I WANT IT NOW!
Now, now, now! I have been checking the station everyday waiting for the Christmas music to start! I was hoping you would have already started!
No. Please don't start Christmas music yet. It is just too much. After Thanksgiving is early enough.
Please start NOW!
Please play Christmas music asap! :)
I think the Christmas music should start asap b/c with the economy the way it is, I think it will put people in a little bit more of the Christmas spirit and maybe help them realize that even when times are tough, the holidays are all about spending timew/ family!
Yeah, Christmas is only once a year but we get it crammed down our throats earlier and earlier each year. If you want to hear Christmas music this early, play CD's at home. Christmas music shouldn't start till Thanksgiving. I'm by no means a Scrooge; I have children in the house but gee whiz, get real, people. The holidays are WAY too commercial. Christmas is about Christ, not about Frosty the Snowman.
At the earliest, after Thanksgiving. Love all of you people that want to start it ASAP, and want to skip over another great HOLIDAY. I do not listen to your station when you start it earlier than than thanksgiving. If you do, GO Lake FM.
I agree with the comment about playing Christmas music after the 25th of December. Remember the twelves day of Christmas start on the 25th, not end. Just because I don't want to hear Christmas music before Thanksgiving doesn't mean that I don't like it. I love it, but one Holiday at a time.
I think about a week before thanksgiving would be appropriate however let it play a little bit into the new year or at least until new years. People start getting into the holiday mood around thanksgiving but are still in the mood on December 26th. Also throwing in a few christmas songs before going to 24/7 christmas would be nice so we get a little bit of both and gradually phase into and out of the holidays. Thank you for the wonderful mix.
Please start playing the Christmas music now! We have been waiting for it since November 1st! It puts everyone in a good mood and we need that with the way the world is right now!
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!???
"WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS......RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE.......
WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS NOW!"
Not till Thanksgiving and NOT 24/7, otherwise by the time Christmas rolls around, I'm so sick of it. Your station is called the mix, so please mix it. No need to be continuous!
still no Christmas music? I am very disappointed!
The debate over this is crazy. The answer is obvious.....The people that do NOT want to hear Christmas music have dozens of other radio stations to listen to. However, those of us that DO want to hear Christmas music have absolutely no other radio options in Milwaukee. We are relying on you, WMYX, to fill that void!!!!
If you start it November 1st like in the past. Virtually two whole months out of twelve, is just nauseating. So much for the Mix.
Just checking in for my office....Back to WRIT and/or 94.5 til tomorrow....See ya!!
Please start playing Christmas music as soon as possible...it's my favorite part of this time of year...it really puts the Christmas spirit in me. I was disappointed not to hear it on November 1st.
As I write this I am Listneing to Charter "Sounds of the Seasons". I think its hilarious that the nay sayers are so against the christmas music. I dont likle jazz music so you know what i just dont turn on 106.9. Its not that hard. If you dont want to watch Nascar you dont put it on. Its really easy, nobody is forcing you to listen to 99.1 all christmas mix. Start playing the chriustmas music now, there is a ton people that want to hear it. The others who dont just put on another station and enjoy the holidays. Its a time for family and friends, the christmas music seems to put people in a good mood. And above all stop complaining about the music, if it was every station in milwaukee I would agree with you but its only one, change it if you do not want to hear it and grow up.
NOW!!!! I was looking for it last weekend and was very disappointed to not hear it. Please. Right away!
Was looking for the Christmas last weekend! I'm so ready to hear the Christmas music!!!
bring on the Christmas music
My co-workers and I are extremely disappointed that the Christmas music isn't playing already on the Mix!!! We were looking forward to coming to work on November 2nd and hearing the sweet sounds of the Christmas season. Please start playing the music soon!!! We don't want to wait until Thanksgiving is over! LOVE THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!
I agree with the person who said we should take it one holiday at a time. If you have Vetrens day music, I would love to hear some of that. If you have Thanksgiving music, I would love to hear that too.
I also agree with the person who said that Christmas begins with Advent, and the season ends in January with Three Kings. So I say wait until after Thanksgiving to start, and continue to play it after Christmas Day.
The best things in life are worth waiting for, so lets wait until the Christmas Season is truly upon us.
Really ready for it now!
Kohls has there own system playing it now.... and so should YOU!
Have one or two an hour starting now and then Thanksgiving evening go total Christmas music!
Please start it on Mon.Nov.9th,2009
94.9 WOLX of Madison made the switch and is playing Christmas music all the time. They win!!!! They have my ears for the rest of the season. Not sure if you guys can get this in Milwaukee but if you can its playing NOW!
For heaven's sake, quit talking about it and start playing it! I have been waiting...and waiting...and waiting!
Please play it NOW! My daughter and I were sooooo disappointed November 1st! START NOW 24/7 PLEASE.
We look forward to this all year.
I think Christmas music should be playing by the downtown Christmas parade. If you're going to wait at least start it then
Any time NOW yesterday would have been better!!!!!!!
Would LOVE to hear Christmas music played now and was disappointed when I was hyping it up to my kids how WMYX starts on Nov. 1st. We woke up that morning and were sad, but anxious to hear some Christmas music, but PLEASE rotate in MORE of a selection this year. EVERYONE and their brother has a Christmas album out! Thanks :) can't wait!
Where is the Christmas music? I have been waiting patiently. Please play it NOW!
Doesn't matter when YOU start playing Christmas music because I started listening to WOLX Madison 94.9..They are all Christmas all the time now.....A REAL CHRISTMAS STATION
There are people who need the Christmas music to start already! All the Scrooges can bah-hum-bug their way to another radio station!
I enjoy the Christmas music like anyone else. However listening to jingle bells while taking my daughter trick or treating last year was too much. In my opinion, it should start at Thanksgiving and continue thru New Years day as THIS is the Holiday season when people are visiting.
I think you should switch over as soon as possible due to the fact that santa is already at southridge, all the local stores are having their christmas sales already, and time warner cable channel 933 is already non-stop christmas music and as ben bork said 94.9 WOLX is too.
Hello, I e-mailed last Sunday when there was no Christmas Music. To heck with those that don't like it. Why are we always catering to the FEW that it offends to be politically correct? I AM CORRECT!!! I wait all year for this. Start as soon as you receive this comment. Thankyou. God Bless. Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year and stop putting it off!
94.9 WOLX? Hmmmmm never thought about that station. Maybe I should switch. C'mon, get on the train. I want to hear Christmas music when I get up tomorrow morning and have my coffee. Love YA!
Play it now! I get so excited on Nov. 1st when hyou usually start it. I'm disappointed that it's not on yet. I vote Christmas Music NOW!
PLEASE START ASAP!!! You guys are the reason why I start getting in the Christmas spirit. Please I beg you start you Christmas music as soon as you can, who cares what those non-believers say that November is too early to start, it's never t early to start Christmas!
Was so disappointed when I tuned in on the 31st ready to hear the Christmas tunes and...nothing. I love Christmas music and I think you should start right away. Besides, those who don't want to listen can turn it off. I think you've got enough fans that want it now.
NOW! Didn't it start earlier last year?
I think the Christmas music should play as soon as possible. I understand Oct 31 is a LITTLE soon, but now it's a little into Nov and all the stores already have most of their Christmas things out and i'm sure people would love to turn on some tunes and get those holiday spirits going. I know that I love listening to your station during this time of year because you are the only ones that really play a good mix of the songs. Well thanks, I hope it gets started soon.
Im thinking mid november is a good time to start, so theres a small buildup to Thanksgiving.
Thanks for the info about 94.9 - I've made the switch to them on my computer at work during the day. I think the Myxx is going to miss out on a lot of listeners as people will find other places for Christmas music and then just stay there.
Day after Thanksgiving! They way it used to be.... Let us enjoy the holiday (and turkey) and be thankful before we start in with Christmas.
Start the week of Thanksgiving but keep playing the music until New Year's! You always started to early in the past and ended to early.
Play it now, have to say I was pretty disappointed when it wasn't on the air like it has been the past two years. Obviously the majority likes the idea of having Christmas music on early, and all these Scrooges obviously don't see the irony in having the music end either the day after or a few days after. It's a joke, and so are those Scrooges.
Please play the Christmas music now!!!:)
Please start playing Christmas music NOW!!! We could all use some holiday cheer. I am disappointed it hasn't started yet; I was hoping it would have begun on November 1st. I look forward to it every year, and I know a lot of other people do to! The sooner you start it, the better!
Um, hello, I was so sad when I turned on the station to not here xmas music. Start it like 8 days ago already.
I think that it should start between this week and next week. Christmas music just makes me happy and puts me into the spirit. For the people that don't want to listen to Christmas music this early, just listen to your own music. Also, make sure you DO play Christmas music 24/7. The sense of Christmas spirit and happiness would not be the same if you went from a Christmas song to Taylor Swift or Kanye. It just would not work.
Yes, We Need A Little Christmas, NOW! The Christmas Mix Rocks My Christmas Socks! It also made Wikipedia so it's popular and people love it... I made a few cassette tapes last year and have to settle for that I guess. Quit doing the Waffling thing like you know who and play it already!!!!!
Stop Waffling like you know who! Just play it like Immediately. It's so popular it made Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia
Well, I agree, Nov. 1 could be a bit too early. However, now that the retail stores and tv are now advertising Christmas...PLEASE start playing the music. Actually, the REAL Christmas does not begin until Dec. 25th and continues 12 days from that point. BUT, I love Christmas music and considering what this country is going through right now, we could all use some uplifting music! GO FOR IT!
ABOUT 160 POSTS...
About 30 for waiting and
130 for playing xmas NOW!!!
What part of this dont you guys understand?
Please start the Christmas Music SOON!!! My family was soooo disappointed on Nov 1st. I will keep listening, however please don't wait until after Thanksgiving. Those people who will quit listening aren't loyal listeners and need to take their anti-Christmas opinions elsewhere and not destroy the beauty and peace of Christmas for the rest of us. The World needs this!!!
I also think you need to play Christmas at least until Jan 2nd (After New Years) as holiday parties continue that week as well. Thanks! Love it!!!
Please begin playing Christmas music now! So many of us are really looking forward to it and were so disappointed when it didn't start on November 1st. Thank you. We love you WMYX !!!
Christmas music from Madison here:
I am SO dissapointed they haven't started playing yet. My tree has been since the second week of October and I was anxiously waiting the Mix's start the music. The Mix has been KNOWN for starting early...that's part of the charm in the first place!
Thanks for sending out the Madison station Natalie! Now if only I could stream it into my car... :)
I am, along with others, disappointed that the question even came up and that you aren't playing it already. If the information is true, you had very high ratings last year as soon as you started Christmas music. Please start playing it today.
Start this week. I think you need more VARIETY in your christmas music selections but I want to hear it now!
I agree that part of the charm of the MIX is that it's always started early. I'm decorating this week and am looking forward to hearing the music soon too. I do wish however you'd have a little more VARIETY in your christmas music rotation. START TODAY!
Christmas Music from Madison...
The station from madison is
Those out west of the Milwaukee area migh be able to pick it up
Please start playing as soon as possible. Green Bay and Madison already have stations playing exclusively Chistmas music, why can't we?
i recently moved to south dakota and been waiting for you to start the chrisatmas music. i lived in the listening area for almost 32 years. please start soon i listen via my internet.
Heres the TWO green bay area stations .....
Please start now!!! You said last week it would be very soon. All of the malls are playing it and running Christmas sales, and waiting till now should take care of the 10% of Christmas Scrooges that have chimed in. I really hope it will be on tommorow after another disappointing morning today.
Please start playing the Christmas Music. I have to listen to the same 30 songs that my husband has on a CD and we need to hear some new songs. I know some people wont be happy listening to the Christmas Music, but it is time to start playing it. So please start playing the music NOW!!! thanks
I think Christmas Music Should be Started the Day After Thanksgiving Since the is the First Real Christmas Shopping Day!!!!!!!!
I want Christmas Music. You guys have always played it right after Halloween.
Start playing it now!!!! I love Christmas music and alot of people want to start listening to it now and the people who don't, probly don't wanna hear it at all. So please start playing it now.
Please start playing Christmas music. ASAP!
Be Different. We can hear regular music on every other station. I think every station even has the same playlist, :( I started decorating 3 weeks ago... I Love Christmas!... Does anyone from WMYX even bother to read the comments? Say Something, Say Anything, before it's too late and Thanksgiving is too late.
we all have been waiting!! tell ur big wigs to listen to the public and play what we wanna hear!! the few that will leave will not be missed! MARRY CHRIRTMAS!
oops might to type..........MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
hey i am 13 and i have been waiting for you people to get off your butts and start playing what we really want to hear COME ON! this is my b-day month and you people wont play my music who cares what those people think.BRING ON THE CHISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
You should of started Nov 1st like you use to. We need the x-mas spirit in these tough times.
I was only visiting your site to see WHEN the Christmas music would start!!! LOL Why not NOW??? Please??? I love to tune in and hear the newer songs... I can always make up a playlist on my mp3 player of my "have it" tunes, but I need to hear some NEW STUFF!!! So, in other words... Now would be fine to start playing Christmas music. Yeppers!!! *Angel*
WHERE IS MY CHRISTMAS MUSIC???
Please/please/please/please/please/please/please/please/please/please/ oh what the heck... PRETTY PLEASE???
This is the only time of year that I turn on the myx day and night. I am very anxiously waiting the Christmas music. It helps people budget their time instead of being rushed by christmas. And even Scrooge came out at the box office with record numbers. It is time to start the Christmas music. Please.
This is the one holiday that everyone is just a little nicer, a few more smiles, and even more caring. Please start it now.
Another hugely disappointing morning. One of the things that make your station unique is the Christmas Mix. The majority has obviously spoken and the results are in, you have waited long enough, please start the Christmas music today!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep tuning into the Mix every morning to check, and keep getting disappointed. When's the Christmas music starting??
WHERE IS THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! I actually think I am not going to listen to your station now. I have found stations on slacker radio, 94.9 (Madison) and charter tv. I looked forward to the Mix's christmas music every year. I am very uspet that a few scrooges out there ruin it for everyone. So start playing, this is your most active blog with 95% of the people saying they want it NOW!!!!
Be nice if someone from the MIX would blog and at least give us some info!!!!!!!!
VERY disappointed in this radio station.........
The dissapointing feeling I have every morning I check to see if the mix had changed over to XMAS music is beginning to get to me. Please start it now. It has been long enough. 99.1 could have had my ratings since November 1st, instead it is my Ipod of Xmas music and 94.9 out of Madison. I promise to stop with the Ipod and the other station if you cross over.
Please start the Christmas music soon! Kinda disappointed that it isn't playing yet!
Please start asap. i am from milwaukee but go to school in la crosse so i listen online and since nobody plays christmas music up here, i would like to hear it from you guys soon
The majority has spoken. The sooner you start the Christmas music....the better!!
PLEASE START PLAYING CHRISTMAS MUSIC NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SOONER THE BETTER!!!!!!!!
I emailed WRIT and mentioned that they could probably win the hearts of the christmas listeners if they start now (i'm sure they know that)....i hope they aren't as deaf to their listeners wants as WMYX it to their (former) listeners.....
I say start now. I don't listen to your station very much but I listen all the time when you play Christmas music. I am ready now. At least start mixing some in with the regular music. And I consider Thanksgiving part of the Christmas season so starting after Thanksgiving is late to me!
START IT NOW!!!!!
just respond to all of these people and stop playing around. It is obvious that people are ready for the music by the looks of this blog. At least one response would be nice so we can stop being disappointed day after day. Waiting until the Christmas Parade is way to late if that is the thought.
I've been waiting since Oct 31 to hear Christmas music. I want to hear the music NOW!! It makes me happy. Every day I check and every day I am so disappointed when I don't hear it. Please stop with the teasing and let's get on to the music :)
PLEASE NOW!! I've been waiting since halloween. please please please start it :(
please start playing it asap! i was pretty disappointed to not hearing it on Nov. 1! Please start NOWW! :) lol!
Now! Looking forward to it:)
Now!! Who is the grinch who stole it anyway?
I LOVE Christmas Music!! PLAY IT NOW!!! PLEASE
Now! I don't listen all the time, but it's disappointing that it hasn't started yet....
Another day without Christmas music in Milwaukee. I am currently listening to WOLX out of Madison. Whoever makes the first move in Milwaukee will have my ears for the rest of the season.
Pleeeees play it asap
PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE Start x-mas music asap!!! By the looks of ALL the comments, the people have spoken! We all could use alittle Christmas now, and your station can make it happen. Happy Holidays!!!
I have been looking forward to the Christmas music for weeks and I have to say I was pretty let down that I haven't heard it yet. I think anytime now would be a great time to start playing it!
Twas the month before Christmas and all through the MYX, Not a Christmas song playing, not even a hint... Though the listeners all waited in glee anticipation, it seems we'll just have to switch to a new station. Now it's almost time to stuff the bus, with no holiday cheer, I think I'll just stay home and slam down a beer. I anxiously await for those magical words to appear, and starting to chime... All Christmas Music, All Of The Time... And to All A Good Night
Last week, Kidd said that Christmas music was going to start "soon". Can someone please define "soon"? So disappointed that it's not on yet. :( PLEASE start playing Chritmas music TODAY!!
What a bummer...no christmas music and its November 11th...It would be nice if you guys would get that started..
Really dissapointed seeing as the christmas music has not started and its already November 11th..Thanksgiving is coming up and I really would like to listen to christmas music for the long drive to see my family..Kind of a tradition..so i hope I wont be dissapointed.
I am starting to get angry with you guys. It's all about the ratings and nothing about the Holiday Spirit. The more people talk about the fact they aren't playing it, the more they like it. Trying to make everyone happy with when they start??? Give me a break. Whatever keeps people talking about their station. "Kepp Listening for the start" No thanks, keep toying with your customers and they will leave, just like me. Can't wait until WOKY and 95.7 start their XMAS music. Adios 99.1, you have toyed with me long enough this year.
Kids asked why Christmas music wasn't on the MYX. How do you explain that? I don't want to even turn on the radio in the car anymore. Can't stand to hear the disappointment in their little voices and see it in their sad little eyes.
WOW this was painful i have been waiting like everybody else it only happens once a year at this time of year. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR; Christmas?
The day after Thanksgiving. Last year, starting on Halloween, was ridiculous! If not the day after Thanksgiving, the Monday before. But no earlier!
I think this group of comments is biased toward the people who want the Christmas music now. When Kidd asked the same question on Facebook, a huge majority wanted it to start after Thanksgiving.
Please start now! My co-workers and I have been waiting and waiting...
ASAP. I think everyone could use a little help getting into the holiday spirit early so by the time Christmas comes they're ready.
Why do people forget about Thanksgiving? It is the most stress free holiday we have. I know that retail has to start early, but Christmas music and Christmas special should not start until after Thanksgiving. That is what it was like growing up and made the Christmas season special. Also Christmas music should run until January 6th (Ephiphany). That is my 2 cents worth.
I do not know what the big deal is. We are already ending the 2nd week in November... START PLAYING XMAS MUSIC ALREADY!!! I do not listen to the radio at all during the rest of the year but come November 1st, 99.1 was all that I listened to... but very soon if it does not start playing I will not listen to you and go to the other radio stations that will play. Madison stations are already playing Christmas music... so lets get going here... otherwise you will loose me and my family as listeners...
You guys are being really stubborn and this is getting pathetic. If I have to wait any longer, you've lost me as a listener. Your "compromise" is only hurting yourselves and your ratings! YOUR fault!
SANTA says BK is a joke
HAHAHA, "this is getting pathetic" haha, a few hours after this joke writes this is gets turned on haha. Thanks guys!!
HO HO HO
SANTA says BK is a joke
it's not xmas, its Christmas Brittany, you're a joke too.
you guys are not stubborn or pathetic, I admit, I was Jonesen for the Christmas music, and now its here! I just hope u play it thru New Years! Not mixing it up, just Christmas music thru new years! You guys did great! Thank You!!
Some people say things like: "PLAY IT NOW! For those who don’t enjoy it, turn the channel. For those of us who do, what choice do we have? BRING ON THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!" OR "The answer is obvious…..The people that do NOT want to hear Christmas music have dozens of other radio stations to listen to."
Do these commenters realize that this is a business? They don't want their normal "customers" to change the channel. And that's what many of them do. Most of the regular listeners choose to listen to this channel because it's a station that prides itself on the VARIETY of different songs/music. By focusing ONLY on Christmas music, it essentially eliminates the "variety" aspect that people are looking for.
It's not a matter of being "Scrooge" like. There are plenty of people who like Christmas music, but don't like to listen to it for months. Do I like to eat steak for dinner? Yes. Would I get sick of eating steak for dinner if I had to eat it every day for over two months? Definitely!
Obviously if the Christmas music helps the ratings, they will/should keep doing it. But I am curious what the ratings are AFTER the Christmas season. Many of the folks commenting here seem to ONLY listen during the Christmas music marathon and then seem to disappear once the station moves back to "normal" music. Again, this is not something a logical radio station would like.
Play it all year long. I love the santas and ho ho ho. I love the crowded stores and the jingle bells. Christmas should be a year long holiday. We can all just buy stuff all year round and give cheap made in China junk to each other and keep the made in China tree up all year! More more more. Ho Ho Ho, reminds me of fun and being a little one. Oh I want it to be all year long. Please lets never stop. It is so much fun. I want to buy more stuff and get more stuff and feed myself and drink and get fat and stupid and lazy. Christmas is so mind numbing. I love it!!!
I listen to the morning show daily, and am often highlighted on the show. WMYX has the only morning show I can tolerate, and I have been so thankful that up until, WMYX hasn't been playing Christmas music. Christmas is a great time of year, but Christmas music is not something I can listen to all day long at work. Remember, the Mix is an "Adult Alternative / Top 40" station. The fact that they play Christmas music at all is a strange choice, so instead of all of you complaining, go out and get some Christmas CD's or load up an iPod with Christmas music. To the person who said, "I do not listen to the radio at all during the rest of the year but come November 1st, 99.1 was all that I listened to…," why should a radio station cater just to you? What about the people who actually listen to the station for the other 10+ months of the year? Should't the Mix cater to it's regular listeners rather than a select few?
Thanks, its about time!
Listen only 24/7 - not bad at all
Thanks for finally starting Christmas music! We've been waiting for a few weeks now wondering when it's starting.
RE: Santa Says BK is a Joke:
You know what, your a joke. Santa loves Christmas you hater. I'm glad they switched over for people like Brittany and me. Scrooges should not be catered to in this time of giving. You are getting coal! Thanks MIX for listening to the people who matter MOST! :)
SANTA says BK is a joke
Haha, I'm a "hater" because I thought you saying they weren't playing it was pathetic and that you wouldn't listen to them anymore BOOHOOO :( tear tear.....one listener? I love the Christmas music too, but whenever they put it on is when they decide to and I'm glad it is now too. I'm no Scrooge, I'm frickin' Santa, the Christmas lover of all Christmas lovers, Kris Kringle, Saint Nick, the big guy from the North Pole, whatever you want to call me. I shouldn't have called you a joke, just your impression that them not putting it on early for you was pathetic. So BK is not a joke, his statement was!!!
Ho Ho Ho
(and PS - just for saying Santa was getting coal, you get a golden turd for Christmas.)
SANTA says BK is a joke
MC IS A JOKE!!!! Now that's a Scrooge!! He gets TWO golden turds.
I enjoy listenting to Christmas music as much as everyone else. But this early, I think the day after thanksgiving is best. Yes it does help get me in the spirit of the holidays. Listening to christmas music makes me want to bake. OH Yea when will you start Jingle Bingo???
Lets play Jingle Bingo

Robin Williams, Back on the Silver Screen
We knew it was coming.
When Robin Williams passed away earlier this year, he left behind a handful of completed film projects.
One of them was Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
It's due out on Christmas Day, and features Robin reprising his role as Teddy Roosevelt.
Check out the trailer for a little glimpse of Robin.
One of this lines is oddly prophetic. "I think it's safe to say that we're in a bit of trouble."
How Much for That Lion in the Window?
On Monday, the costume that Bert Lahr wore as the Cowardly Lion in the 1939 classic film, The Wizard of Oz, went up for auction.
It was part of a group of memorabilia offered for sale at Bonhams auction house - "TCM Presents: There's No Place Like Hollywood."
Other items up for sale included Sam's piano from Casablanca, a gown worn by Marilyn Monroe, and Clark Gable's jacket from Gone With the Wind.
As you sit and maybe watch The Wizard of Oz over the holidays, think about this.
That outfit worn by the King of the Forest just sold for $3 million.
Barack & Meryl, Sitting in a Tree?
On Monday afternoon, President Obama presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom - the nation's highest civilian honor to singer Stevie Wonder, TV journalist Tom Brokaw, and Ethel Kennedy, wife of the late Robert F. Kennedy.
Oh, and he gave one to his girlfriend too.
That would be Meryl Streep, the actress.
“I love Meryl Streep,” the president said in front of all assembled "Her husband knows I love her. Michelle knows I love her. There's nothing either of them can do about it.”
No real scandal there. Just a nice bit of affection.
Oh, and he poked a little fun at his love too - pointing out that she sang Abba - "which, you know, that's something."
Vader Versus Batman - Who Wins?
Stumbled on this one while doing a little surfing today.
What happens when you pit the Dark Knight against the Dark Sith Lord?
An epic battle, for sure.
Check out this very well-done bit of fantasy lore, pitting Robin's best bud, Batman, against Luke and Leia's papa, Dark Vader.
Sew Watt, Its Juss a Tipo!
Maybe it's time for the signmakers in Los Angeles to invest in SpellCheck - or maybe just a proofreader.
Earlier this month, a sign sub-contractor installed a new highway marker on the northbound side of the 710 Freeway.
The sign marked the exit for Olympic Boulevard.
Except it said "Olimpic" Boulevard instead.
It took someone at CalTrans a full day to recognize the problem. A few days later, it was covered up with a black tarpaulin. And it will be replaced by the sub-contractor at no charge to the city.
Except for the cost of the embarrassment of having hung in there in the first place.

"Something Chases You, Run!"
It's the first "genetically-modified hybrid."
With those ominous words, we welcome you to Jurassic World.
It's 23 years later, and the interactive park envisioned by Richard Attenborough's character in the original Jurassic Park movies is up and running.
It's a hybrid between Disney World, Sea World and Busch Gardens, featuring real live dinosaurs - plus a new concoction, cooked up by the scientists.
That would be the "genetically-modified hybrid," and of course, it will run amok.
Check out the trailer for the film - the film will be released in June of 2015.
What do you think? Exciting and new - or just a rehash of the originals?
Hit the Mark, or Miss By a Mile?
Critics are saying this skit from last weekend's Saturday Night Live marks a return of the show's political comedy chops.
They resurrected the old ABC show, Schoolhouse Rock, and tossed in President Obama's recent executive order concerning immigration, and presented a tutorial on how things work on Capitol Hill.
What do you think: does it Hit the Mark, or Miss By a Mile. (I fall in the latter category, but I'm interested to see what other people think.)
Oh, and by the way - if you want to read how the skit is entirely wrong on the fact side anyway, check out this article by ThinkProgress.
Black Sea Devil Captured
Researchers from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute announced a fascinating find over the weekend - a video of the rare deep-sea anglerfish, also known as the Black Sea Devil.
The film was shot off the coast of Monterey, California, about 1900 feet below the surface.
The scientists were very excited, as they believe it's the first video of this species, "alive and at depth."
The narration is a little dry, and the fish is not pretty. Still, it is fascinating...
Want some chuckles, though? Check out this little video, called "True Facts About the Angler Fish," produced by the same institute.
Forget the Hail Mary - This One's the Rosary!
Okay, sportscasters are given to hyperbole. That I'll grant you.
But they may be on to something with the touchdown catch Odell Beckham Jr made on Sunday for the New York Giants against the Dallas Cowboys.
One sportcaster calls it, "Impossible!" And watching it in slow-mo, he and everyone else might just be right.
And the more amazing part, after the game, Odell told Bob Costas that he and some of his teammates practice catches like that all the time.

Did She Diss Em or Not?
Some writers are saying that Iggy Azalea dissed Eminem on Sunday at the American Music Awards.
She picked up the award both for best rap artist and for best rap/hip-hop album for The New Classic, her debut album.
In her acceptance speech, she said, "It means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this. It's amazing."
Watch and listen...
Some believe that was a shot at Eminem, who definitely took a shot at Iggy in his new song, Vegas, with a lyric that said, "Put that sh*t away, Iggy."
But she responded on Twitter after the song was released. And it really does sound like she's just letting sleeping dogs and Eminems lie...
im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz

Cuddle Up to Me - Professionally, Of Course
Some would call Samantha Hess's business an overnight success - but you can't stay overnight.
Samantha runs a shop in Portland, Oregon called Cuddle Up to Me - and it's a professional cuddle shop.
Stay with me now. For $60, a customer can get sixty minutes of hugging, or as it's been described, "the level of human contact that we want or need in order to be our optimal selves."
Sure, it sounds like a front for something, but Samantha says it's a great idea, one that came to her when she really needed a hug. "I was at a place where I thought paying someone to hug me and not have ulterior motives sounded like a great idea," she told an interviewer from The Independent. "I decided why can't this be a thing that we can easily and safely reach for?"
It's all on the up-and-up. Everyone stays dressed, hugs and hand-holding are the only items on the menu, and the show is open Monday through Saturday.
By the way, Samantha's been at it for a year or so. But all of a sudden, the media are getting hold of the story, and it's gone viral.
What's going on here? If you said professional cuddling… then you are correct. Only on the #RidicuList pic.twitter.com/F2Yq6LPHUB

The Newest Shirt Style - Graffiti!
Frankie J. Grande, the half-brother of Ariana Grande, showed up at last night's American Music Awards in a rather interesting outfit.
Skin-tight baby pink skinny jeans - check!
Black high tops - check!
Puff of pink in his hair - check!
And a stop at the local Sherwin Williams to have his shirt and bow tie painted on - check, check and check!
After the show, he jumped into a Maytag washing machine and was cleaned up in no time.
Cutest Picture of the Year?
This might not be the cutest picture of the year, but it sure is a contender.
Gisele Bundchen posted this one all over social media yesterday afternoon, as her husband, Tom Brady, led the New England Patriots to a 34 - 9 victory over the Detroit Lions.
It's Tom and Gisele's daughter, Vivian, wearing one of daddy's jerseys, watching the game.
Mega Cute to the 12th power, easily.
Go daddy go!!! #gopats ❤️💙 Vai papai vai!

Celebrity Mean Tweets Are Back!
Jimmy Kimmel's Mean Tweets series just keeps getting better and better.
Sure, it's sad that there are so many haters out there, and there's probably something sub-conscious here that encourages the haters to hate more, but...
The reactions of some of these celebrities to the nasty things tweeted about them is simply classic.
Case in point on this newest installment: John Stamos's reaction to a tweet about his "gross" belly button.
Katy Razzes Paparazzi
Katy Perry's fed up with paparazzi, especially the guys who were hounding her every step this weekend in Australia.
She's in Sydney on her Prismatic World Tour, and all she wanted was a little quiet time on the beach.
Not too much to ask, right? Except for the "perverted and disgusting" paparazzi, salivating at the prospect of a shot of Katy in her bikini that could be sold to the highest tabloid bidder.
Katy took to Twitter to fire a cannon in their direction.
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) November 22, 2014
She even posted some pictures of the offenders.

Poohphobia Plagues Poland
At first glance, this story reads like something the folks at The Onion would make up.
But as you read on and look at the source, it looks like it's a legitimate story.
There's a town in Poland called Tuszyn that's looking for a mascot for its new playground.
But the town officials categorically rejected Winnie the Pooh. Why?
They say the cartoon bear is "inappropriately dressed" and his sexuality is "dubious."
You have to read the story.
It's laugh out loud funny - and sad, all at the same time.
(And if it turns out this ISN'T real - nicely played, whoever pulled this off!)
Celebrities Stuck in Traffic
Comedian impressionist Lauren O'Brien posted a video last week of fourteen celebrities stuck in traffic.
Of course, she's playing all fourteen, and some of them are pretty good!
Decide for yourself - which will be your favorite?
For me, it's a toss up between Kristen Stewart and Sofia Vergara....
Music Video or Underwear Ad?
Beyonce released a video for her new single, "7/11," over the weekend.
They're calling it homemade - it looks like it could have been shot on a cell phone, all around Queen Bey's house, featuring cameos by Baby Blue Ivy and maybe even Hubby Zee.
It's energetic, but seems to go out of its way to feature undergarments - on Beyonce and on her dancers.
If the Fruit of the Loom people are on the ball, I'm smelling a Super Bowl commercial here...
O, Canada, Thank You
The other night, in Toronto, the hometown Maple Leafs played the Nashville Predators.
As is custom, both the Canadian and American national anthems were performed.
In the middle of the American song, the singer's microphone cut out - and the crowd took over, singing the song loud and proud to the very end.
Thank you, Canadians!
I can't help but wonder if we could do the same thing for them.
Time to brush up on "O, Canada," I guess.
Just Face It, This is Funny
You don't have to be a soccer fan, or even understand the sport, to appreciate the fun in this video.
It's so well done - a series of penalty kicks will decide the outcome of this "match" between Yale and North Carolina.
Watch the action as the incomparable Scott Sterling keeps his goal that hardest way possible.
And make sure you pay attention to the announcers - the British accents and expressions really help sell the bit!
A Realistically Proportioned Fashion Doll
There's been a lot of pushback recently against the unrealistic proportions of Barbie dolls.
Except for those women who slave away to look like human Barbies, real women simply don't look like that.
So how would a "realistically proportioned fashion doll" fare in today's toy market?
Toy designer Nikolay Lamm aims to find out, with Lammily, a doll based on the proportions of the average 19-year-old woman.
To add to the realism, Lammily comes with stick-on tattoos, cellulite, stretch marks, scars and more.
Check out the video of a bunch of school kids getting to meet Lammily and compare her to a normal Barbie doll. It's pretty interesting...
One Winner Means Lots of Losers
On Jimmy Kimmel Live the other night, Jimmy got to break the news that Chris Hemsworth is People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2014.
So, he's the winner.
Which means, every other man on the planet is the loser.
Like Jason Bateman, who thought he'd been invited to appear on Kimmel's show because he was going to get the award.
To make him feel better, Jimmy let Jason read his acceptance speech, which he'd prepared in anticipation of winning the award.
(For the record, Jason's an underrated comic actor...)
Spielberg? Or Squirrel?
This one's a commercial just waiting to happen.
Someone left his GoPro camera on the ground near a tree.
A curious squirrel approached and decided he must have the GoPro - or, he mistook it for a shiny nut.
Either way, the squirrel nabbed the camera and scooted up a tree with it.
The footage is pretty amazing, even when the squirrel drops it to the ground.
Could be the rodent version of Stephen Spielberg here...
Even Worse Than Misfit, These Toys Are Bad
A consumer advocacy group called WATCH - World Against Toys Causing Harm - this week issued its list of the Ten Worst Toys of 2014.
The worst, according to WATCH, is the Air Storm Firetek Bow, which can shoot arrows up to 145 feet.
There's also the Catapencil, an actual pencil with a slingshot at the top - surefire classroom fun right there.
A Battle Hammer designed for three-year-olds - the ones who think they're Thor, I guess.
The SWAT Electric Machine Gun was in the middle of the list. Surprising, really, when you consider the manufacturer's warning that it could be mistaken for the real thing by law enforcement personnel.
You can check out the full list in this article in The Daily Mail.
And check out the video of the press conference...
"America Loves You"
Give Jay Leno a hand.
He recently visited Afghanistan, performing for the troops in a USO show.
He came home wanting to do more. So he and the folks at The Today Show selected an active service member who was also a wounded warrior, and gave him a joy ride to remember.
Check out the video as Jay drove Corporal Ethan Laberge on the back roads around Fort Campbell, Kentucky in a brand-new 2015 Dodge HRT Hellcat - the muscle car of muscle cars.
And at the end of the ride...
You just have to watch it for yourself. And grab a hankie.
