What does a recurring dream mean?

You know that dream where you’re standing in front of your entire high school, preparing to give a speech and you can’t remember anything you’re supposed to say? AND you’re naked? Most of us have a recurring dream of some kind- in some cases it’s more like a nightmare- and often it deals with something from our lives in high school or college.
As unpleasant as these dreams can be, experts say that not only are they normal, but they actually serve a purpose- they let us know when we’re overwhelmed or stressed, since that’s when we’re most likely to have them.
They can also serve as a wake-up call to make us reexamine unresolved issues in our lives- in many cases, issues that are rooted in our teenage years. Which explains dreams about forgotten locker combinations, being unprepared for tests, and the whole naked-in-front-of-the-whole-student-body thing.
Do you have a recurring anxiety dream? What is it about? What do you think it means? Does it occur more often when you’re stressed?
