After recently seen "Hot Tub Time Machine" and being a bit disappointed, I realized it wasn't because the film was mediocre but rather because of what happened before the movie.  I was told by several people that the movie was just as funny as "Knocked Up" and "The Hangover" which I hold in very high regard.  I feel like if everyone would have told me the movie was AWFUL, I would have gone into it with lower expectations and I probably would have said "It wasn't the best movie, but it had it moments."    So, the next time someone asks you how a movie was tell them "Really bad!" and they just might walk away thinking it was "Really great!"
I really have no reason to back up why I dislike this person so much, but I do.  I know a lot of people think she is beautiful, I think she is not attractive at all. She is a superficial rich snob that sets a bad example for young women around the world which is "Look pretty and you can do whatever you want."  I like to believe that if you work hard you can achieve the same goals and be just as successful.
I don't want you to get jealous, but yes I did see Gary Busey over the weekend on Venice Beach.  He was part of some weird group yoga event.  He didn't look or sound as crazy as he usually does on the red carpet. (FYI he is the guy with the white X on his shirt)
Nothing says "I love you" like bashing your ex on Valentines Day. Sources are telling Us Weekly that Kate used to call Jon's little-guy (no pun intended) stubby. That is just mean to share a guys size with the entire world.  There goes Jon's chances (not that they were very good) of ever getting a date again.
John Mayer has been a friend of the radio station for a long time and when I saw this picture in the hallway this morning, it reminded me that he used to be a really nice guy.  BTW what do you think he meant by "geat afternoon?"
I know it would be cool to see the Saints win their first Super Bowl ever, but as someone who has no emotional connection to sports I really hope they lose. Why? Kim Kardashian really bothers me and if the Saints win it will give her one more reason to be in the spotlight. I don't know about you, but I am OK if the light never shines on her face again.
I wasn't the only one celebrating my birthday last weekend. Adam Lambert spent his in Hollywood with Lindsey Lohan. I spent mine in Milwaukee with my friends, none of which are unemployed actresses with a drug problem.
Tons of stars came out yesterday to record a new version of "We Are the World" for Haiti. Pink, Jennifer Hudson and Celine Dion, just to name a few. The updated version will make it premier during the opening ceremonies of the winter Olympics.

What is up with the hair Rihanna? West Allis called and said they want that 1980's style back. :-) I still love you!
Will Rihanna be bringing a date to the grammy's:Â (from usmagazine.com)
"I'm going to the Grammys alone, as always!" she said "Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone."
If you're a fan of "Mad Men" then the new movie "A Single Man" is worth seeing. The movie has nothing to do with and ad executive that cheats on his wife, but it does take place during the same time period. The movie is set in Los Angeles in 1962 and was directed by fashion designer Tom Ford. The story line is a extremely depressing, it's about a man who is planning his suicide after losing his life partner. But, the cinematography is amazing. From the houses, furniture, and cars to Julianne Moore's outfits, every frame of the film is spectacular. If you're a fan of mid century modern style, then I suggest you checking out this film just for that alone.
Conan went out BIG last night trumping every other late night show with HUGE ratings for his final night on "The Tonight Show." Why is it that everyone loves you when you're about to leave or gone? Where was everyone for the last 7 months? It just goes to show we all love DRAMA! We always slow down to see the car accident on the other side of the highway because we must see the smashed up car.  Last night was the conclusion to a a great drama and it was "MUST SEE NBC" TV at it's finest. You can look at all the numbers here.
If you missed the farewell or want to see it again check it out now here.
I can't stop laughing...is that mean?  Heidi's new CD which debuted this week has sold less than 1,000 copies.
From US Weekly:
She told EW, "I put every dollar I have into this. I've spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It's cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality... The songs will make an impact in pop history."
Maybe this will send her the message she needs to hear "NOBODY cares about you."
If I had a house like this I would NEVER leave.  Christina Aguilera's house is "ON SALE," originally priced at $8 million it is now going for just $6.2 million.  Check out more pix here.

Hollywood does good:
Sandra has given $1 million to "Doctors without Boarders"Â to help in the Haiti relief efforts.
Brad and Angie have also given $1 million.
Lady Gaga is donating all proceeds from her January 24th concert to aid in Haiti.
George Clooney is planning a telethon for next Friday that would air on most every television station in the nation. It will include lots of celebrity hosts and guests.

They Got To Me...
The two guys from A Great Big World stopped by the Mix studios to sing their hit, "Say Something" and it happened...I cried.
If you have not listened to the song yet...well...I suggest you do, but don't cry :( These guys are very nice and I wish them nothing but success!
I recently spent some time a La Reve...want to see what I enjoyed?

Create a Pest Management Calendar
Is your mailbox filling with next year's calendars? Put them to use managing pests in the garden.
No, I'm not talking about smashing insects with the rolled up calendar. Instead, use them to develop a pest-monitoring calendar for next year.
Take a few minutes to review this year's garden journal. Look for notes on any pest problems you encountered. Make a note to watch for these pests in next year's calendar. This helps with early detection; a key to successful control.
Consider adding notes about the weather and control measures you tried that were effective. Try using preventative eco-friendly measures like barriers and traps to prevent problems. Covering your cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower before the cabbageworm moths are active allows you to prevent damage.
Setting out shallow cans of stale beer will help you minimize feeding damage by slugs and snails during wet weather.
A bit more information: No garden journal? This is a good opportunity to create one that includes your growing successes, failures as well as pest problems. Use a spiral notebook, three-ring binder or computer calendar or spreadsheet. Just make it easy and fun. That way you are sure to keep recording, referencing and putting your gardening experiences to work.
