Catchphrase, Colombian Style
One of Jimmy Fallon's regular Tonight Show celebrity games is Catchphrase. In it, each player has to get his or her partner to say a particular phrase by providing clues without saying any part of the phrase. It's a variation on the old Password game show. It's tough enough for English-speaking folks to play. So what happens when one of your players is Sofia Vergara, a native of Colombia who seems to struggle with her second language - although that could be a ploy, who knows? Anyway, what happens is hilarity Check it out!

The Battle of One Direction
You probably remember that Zayn Malik quit One Direction about a month ago, in the middle of the band's tour. Now, he's hooked up with a music producer, Naughty Boy. And Naughty Boy decided to tweet a picture of himself and his new protege, captioning it "Replace This." Replace this . pic.twitter.com/Dis0Tfd7cz — Naughty Boy (@NaughtyBoyMusic) May 6, 2015 The jab was likely aimed at Zayn's former bandmates, and it landed. Louis Tomlinson, still in One Direction, took a shot at the picture itself. Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA! — Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) May 6, 2015 The twitter war was on, mostly between Louis and Naughty Boy, until Zayn weighed in on this exchange. @Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine ? — zaynmalik (@zaynmalik) May 6, 2015 Looks like this thing could drag on and on in 140-letter increments, of course.

Real Housewives of Kings Landing
A fan with some decent editing software has put together an almost brilliant mash-up of clips from Game of Thrones plus behind-the-scenes footage into a promo worthy of Bravo's Real Housewives series. Welcome to Real Housewives of Kings Landing, featuring former queen, Cersei Lannister, and current queen, Margaery Tyrell, with an RH reality show spin. Okay, it's actually brilliant. Check it out!

TBT - The Talking Dog
This one slipped by me a few weeks ago, but it's worth watching. It's a segment from Britain's Got Talent, featuring a 61-year-old Parisian who works with Wendy, a talking dog. Yes, a talking dog. Okay, it's a ventriloquist act, but with a real live animal. Check out the reactions of the judges as the bit begins, seemingly awkwardly, and then gets incredibly funny. You will laugh - guaranteed!

Let's Have Tea - at the Bottom of the River
A guy snorkeling in the Colorado River made a scary find the other day. Two human skeletons in chairs on the riverbed. He reported the find to the local sheriff's office, and now he's embarrassed to find out they're made of plastic, and were probably placed there as a joke. The sheriff says he has no plans to track down the pranksters who set up the underwater tea party. Instead, he most likely will set up the skeletons and chairs outside the sheriff's office - to further the joke.

Deflategate Blows Up Again
The Wells Report is out, the NFL's investigation into the scandal called Deflategate. Did the New England Patriots knowingly deflate game balls? According to the report, the answer is "more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations." Hardly definitive, but certainly enough for PatriHaters to blow up Facebook and every other form of social media. The probable personnel are an equipment assistant, an Officials Locker Room attendant, and the most recent Super Bowl MVP, Tom Brady. So what do you think? Should there be some form of punishment? To whom, and in what form?

Truly the Time of Their Lives
James Corden is starting to grow on me as a perfectly fine late night television host on The Late Late Show. He's a decent joketeller, and handles interviews well. But some of the stunts and skits he puts together and pulls off are as good as some of the things Jimmy Fallon's doing on The Tonight Show. Check out this little farewell he did with Idina Menzel at the end of last week.

May the Geek Be With You
Monday, May 4th is semi-officially designated as Star Wars Day. Why? Because "May the Fourth" Be With You. Get it? Anyway, to celebrate, a group of fans built an $800 Lego Star Destroyer, and then destroyed it, dropping it nose-first onto a floor while filming the destruction in slow motion. They even point out the demise of the Imperial representatives aboard the craft. Yup, that's Geek to the Ultimate Power.

More Than Words - Take 2
Earlier this week on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black did a shot-for-shot recreation of the music video for Extreme's "More Than Words." They do a pretty decent job with the song. Check it out.   It's even more impressive when you compare it to the original. Pretty amazing.

Um, What the HECK Just Happened?
Imagine you're minding your own business, maybe driving down the street, maybe taking a walking tour of historic Boston... And suddenly, some guy in this tighty whities and maybe a pair of shoes starts dancing in a semi-insane manner in front of you. That's what happened in some towns in Massachusetts while a band called Binary Finary recorded what appears to be a music video...? Give it a look - just be careful that no one important's looking over your shoulder.

Awkward with a Capital Awk
Danielle Perez dreamed of being a contestant on The Price is Right. That happened. She dreamed of winning and getting onto a showcase. That happened too. And then she won the showcase too - featuring a sauna and a treadmill. Great. Except Danielle has no legs and is in a wheelchair. You think maybe the folks at TPIR could have taken a moment to switch out the showcase...?

That Was Then, This is Later
David Letterman is wrapping up his 33-year career in late night television this month, so a lot of A-list guests are being crammed into the final shows. Steve Martin is one of them - a frequent guest and friend of Dave's. He visited the Late Show with David Letterman a couple of days ago, and showed a couple of videos he'd compiled as an homage to his friend - one showing selections from his past, and one showing what his life will be like post-retirement. Grab the tissues, folks!

What if Westeros Had Cellular Service?
The folks at Entertainment Weekly keep track of all forms of entertainment - movies, television, live events and more. In season, it seems like Game of Thrones is one of the magazine's favorite shows, and they do love to poke their fun. Check out this very funny episode of Game of Phones - imaging how King Tommen might manage his kingdom on a cell phone. If you haven't seen this week's episode yet, don't pay too close attention to the text messages - there's a spoiler or two in there. But by the seven gods, this is funny stuff!

Stunt Impossible?
The latest offering in the Mission: Impossible franchise (Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation) comes out at the end of this month. From the trailer, it seems like more of the same. Impossible MIssion Forces led by Tom Cruise, working on the outside of the agency that's supposed to employ them. Lots of action, and plenty of things blowing up. But check out the stunt at the end of the trailer, with Tom hanging onto the outside of a plane as it takes off. The buzz is that Tom did that stunt for real, on his own. I hope someone got a shot of his insurance agent's face while that was going on, don't you?

Idina's Kid Hates "Let It Go!"
Idina Menzel visited Ellen the other day and naturally, the conversation turned to Frozen, the animated movie where she plays the part of Elsa, the snow queen. She of course sings the movie's big song, "Let It Go!" And she revealed to Ellen that her son really doesn't like it when she sings that song. In fact, she says he hates it. But it's sort of her bread and butter, and she'll be singing it on her upcoming world tour. She demonstrated how she'll sing it in Japanese, and after a couple of false starts, she did a pretty good job with it. Check out the video.

Now This is a Birth Announcement
By now, we all know that Prince William and Duchess Kate welcomed a baby girl into the world over the weekend. And we all know her name is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Signed, sealed, delivered. Godspeed and all that, what? But here, for me, is the coolest part about the royal birth. It was announced by an official town crier. Dressed in old-style finery and holding a scroll, the crier stood on the hospital steps and made the official announcement. And I don't care, but I think that's pretty darn cool! (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); How old school! Town crier Tony Appleton announces the birth of Duchess Kate's baby girl at St. Mary's Hospital in London. Posted by USA TODAY on Saturday, May 2, 2015

Leaked Pretty Girls
Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea teamed up on a new song called "Pretty Girls." It was officially released yesterday at midnight. A full two days after it was leaked on line, and had already ended up being aired. Iggy wasn't very happy about it. Check out her tweets...   I'm really really happy to see so many people loving it but i also just want to clarify its not an "early" release its a leak and if you can — IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) May 3, 2015 we would really appreciate everyone holding out until monday to share links etc if possible (i know its hard, I'm excited too!) — IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) May 3, 2015 And here's the official song. Take a listen. I'm not exactly blown away. How about you?

Jonny, We're Gonna Miss You
Jon Stewart is one of the smartest most juvenile news presenters out there. Check out his recent discussion on The Daily Show about the newest Democratic candidate for president, Bernie Sanders, a veteran senator from Vermont, as John compared and contrasted him against Hilary Clinton. It got especially juvenile when he drifted off into a recap of former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton earning up to $75,000 for speeches about diarrhea. Watch this and tell me you don't laugh as hard as I did. I will MISS Jon Stewart when his time on Comedy Central is done...   The Daily Show Get More: Daily Show Full Episodes,The Daily Show on Facebook,Daily Show Video Archive

All for His Family
15-year-old Isaac Waddington blew away the judges recently on Britain's Got Talent with his version of Billy Joel's "She's Always a Woman." But that's only part of the story. The biggest and best part of the story is how he managed to move his parents and his younger brother to tears with his performance - while earning a standing ovation from the audience. If you don't get goosebumps watching this video, watch it again until you do.

Black Widow Misses the Mark
Scarlet Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend. She was there partly to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron, the latest offering by the folks at Marvel Comics. In it, she plays Black Widow. In this little trailer developed by the folks at SNL, Black Widow gets her own movie - because Marvel knows girls. Seems like it wasn't that long ago we could have said SNL knows comedy. Unfortunately, not this time...

D*I*S*R*E*S*P*E*C*T
Tony Allen of the Memphis Grizzlies took some major heat from the hometown fans of the Golden State Warriors during yesterday's first game in the second round of the NBA finals. During a time-out, the Warriors Junior Jam dance team took to the floor to perform for the crowd. Oblivious to that, Tony walked right out onto center court while the kids were dancing. That earned him a huge chorus of boos. Not only then, but every time he touched the ball during the rest of the game. In case you're wondering, the Warriors won the game, 101 - 86. Instant karma, anyone?

What Was Worse, the Fight or the National Anthem?
Not a lot of people were huge fans of the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight on Saturday night. But even fewer were fans of the way Jamie Foxx treated the singing of the National Anthem prior to the fight. The video was all over You Tube and Facebook yesterday, but now it's been taken down - "due to a copyright claim by CBS." But Jamie took a trashing all over social media - especially on Twitter. Here's one non-fan, who posted a video of herself doing the Jamie Foxx version of the National Anthem, showing she's ready should the call ever come!     Practicing the Jamie Foxx version of the National Anthem (for when that opportunity comes knocking.) A video posted by Bayne Gibby (@baynegibby) on May 3, 2015 at 6:04pm PDT

Let's Just Flush This Idea, Why Don't We?
Okay, this is hilarious in a very juvenile way. A city councilman in Georgetown, Texas excused himself from a council meeting for a bathroom break. He forgot that he was wearing a body microphone, and also forgot to turn it off. So, while the council's business continued, this councilman's business was broadcast throughout the chamber. Too bad this guy's not on a city council in California - sounds like he could solve their drought problem single-handedly... (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); A city councilman forgot to take his mic off when he took a bathroom break... and the whole council heard everything. Some Things You Can't Forget
Matt LeBlanc visited The Graham Norton Show (on BBC) recently, and the conversation turned to some of the songs he'd sung while on Friends. It's amazing how some things just stick with you - even after all these years. Check out this snippet from the show. Pretty funny stuff.

A Lannister Never Gives Up Spoilers
The other night on Conan, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau told some stories about offering up Game of Thrones spoilers. He plays Jamie Lannister on the show, and off-camera, he's got an interesting sense of humor. In this little tale, he talks about a random comment about a duck that had fans scrambling for clues and debating its significance. And after Conan begged a little, he gave up a little something about Dany's dragons... Watch....
