Boys Will Be Boys
No matter the age, it's still true - boys and girls are very different from each other. Yes, we have similarities too, but when it comes to the core, we're different.

The other day I was babysitting my 4 year-old nephew and I had to get my oil changed. I dread getting my oil changed. It doesn't interest me in anyway and I always feel like a moron when the guys talk to me about "car things."

When we pulled up, we walked out of the car and headed to the waiting room. That's when my oil change took an interesting turn. My nephew could NOT stop starring at the guys working on my car. He was fascinated with what they were doing. In my 31 years on this earth I have NEVER watched the guys work on my car during the oil change.

It was so cute to observe him getting all excited and that's when I realized "boys will be boys" and they'll always be fascinated with things that us girls will just never get.

A Great Place To Shop!
If you have that guy in your family who's hard to shop for, let me offer you a suggestion. Woodman's Food Market is my go to place for those types of guys because of their liquor store!

They have a "Mix 'N Match Micro Brews" section! You can choose from hundreds of micro-brews to create the 6-pack of your dreams at a reasonable price...a great gift for any guy! Plus they have a huge beer selection, great liquor prices and an expansive wine assortment.

And Woodman's shelves are always stocked and they have a huge organic and natural selection too!

I also really appreciate the enthusiasm of the employees when I shop and that's because Woodman's is 100% employee owned. They care about you and your experience in their store.

And that's not all, Woodman's is a convenient one-stop grocery shopping destination because they have discount gas stations, car washes and oil change centers!

Check it out for yourself and see how at Woodman's they have "better products, better prices, better service because we're employeed owned!"

I Finally Did It!
After eight years, I finally decided to add a little color to my hair. Nothing too drastic, I just wanted to lighten it up a bit.

And...I LOVE it!

Best Place To Grocery Shop!
Have you ever gone into a grocery story to find one specific item and they're out of it? That's what I used to deal with all the time at the grocery store I USED to shop. But not anymore!

I decided to start shopping at Woodman's Food Market and I'm so glad I made the switch. Woodman's shelves are always stocked and they have a huge organic and natural selection too!

You'll notice the enthusiasm of the employees when you shop and that's because Woodman's is 100% employee owned. They care about you and your experience in their store.

I Love This Girl!
Do you have that friend who's know you forever and no matter how much time goes by you can always pick up where you left off?

For me, that's my best friend Andrea. We've been best friends since third grade. In fact, I set her up with my husband's good friend and now THEY'RE married too!

She and I went out last Saturday night and needless to say, it was so much fun! I love this girl!

Say It Ain't So - Please Say It Ain't So
A day after the Video Music Awards, during which Kanye West ran about ten minutes past his alloted two minutes, the folks at TMZ are reporting that MTV wants Kanye to host the show next year. Seriously? I mean, what did we do to deserve that, MTV? We've been good, haven't we? It's bad enough you wouldn't let the guys in the control room cut him off when he went over. It's bad enough one of your execs followed him to his dressing room to tell him how terrific he was. Now you want to put him in as host? Are you prepared for a weekend-long event, MTV? Cuz that's how this is shaping up!

Just a Little Harsh, Wouldn't You Say?
So it looks like Demi Lovato's performance at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sunday wasn't all that well received. She performed outside the theater on a stage set up on there, and the people inside the auditorium watched on monitors. Demi was wearing what's been described as "dominatrix-style" boots and a bedazzled dress. And when Iggy Azalea joined her on stage - well, things didn't get much better. One viewer at home had a pretty harsh tweet about it. Check it out...   loving the demi and iggy performance! pic.twitter.com/0qWitxoxkC — nick. (@XXIPilots) August 31, 2015

Downton Abbey Wrapping Up
Are you ready for it, Downton Abbeyites? Your favorite series is wrapping up this season, which starts September 20. The folks at ITV released this trailer over the weekend. It feels a little sad, but a little uplifting too. Sort of like a rite of passage. What do you think?

Hotel California, Sin Musica
This video's several months old, but I just stumbled on it, and it's worth sharing. An a capella group called Cubanos Acapella performed the Eagles' classic, "Hotel California." No music, except the music created by the performers. Percussion, guitars and more, all created vocally. And it's perfection. Check it out.

"Like That Little Cage is Gonna Help Ya"
Those sharks keep on coming. Check out this video of a monster shark leaping out of the water. You can get a sense of its size from the shark cage's pontoons in the foreground. The best part is the look on the face of the Australian Today Show's anchor and his co-host. They're both completely dumbfounded, and vow never to go in the water again. Check it out.   (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); "I'm never going into the ocean again" - KarlWhat. was. that.#Today9 Posted by TODAY on Sunday, August 30, 2015

Hello Again, Denali
Just before leaving for a trip to Alaska, President Obama righted what many Native Americans see as a century old wrong. The name of America's highest peak, Mount McKinley in Alaska, has been changed back to its original name, Denali. In the native tongue, the word means "the high one." The story of how it became known as Mount McKinley - named after President William McKinley, who was only a candidate for the presidency at the time - is pretty funny. A gold prospector came ouf of the Alaskan wilderness, telling stories about the sights he'd seen, including this very high mountain. He decided that it should be named for McKinley, a Republican from Ohio who had never been and never would end up going to Alaska. Makes perfect sense, right? And that's it? Native American groups in Alaska have been fighting for the name change since Alaska became a state in 1959.  Who says bureaucracies move slowly?

President Kanye?
Oh yes he did. At the VMA's last night, Kanye West announced - after a four-hour speech (okay, maybe it wasn't that long, but it sure felt like it was!) - that he was running for president in 2020. Sadly, he means President of the United States. He dropped the mic right after saying that and walked off stage to a cheering crowd. It's not clear whether they were cheering the announcement, or the fact that he was finally done talking. I'm thinking the latter...

Bitch Slap at the VMA Corral
You never know what you're going to get when Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus are in the same room. What you got last night at the VMAs was fireworks! Nicki was on stage, accepting her award for "Anaconda" as Best Hip Hop Video. She thanked everyone who made it possible, the way you do at awards shows. And then she laid into Miley Cyrus, who had some particulary unflattering things to say about Nicki in a previous interview. Miley's response was pretty much "that's the way it goes in this industry." And that just made Nicki madder. Watch the video...

Yup, Almost Naked
Miley Cyrus told a guy on the street during a fake interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week that she would be hosting MTV's Video Music Awards in the nude. And judging from the stuff done leading up to the show itself, it looks like she came pretty close to making that promise a reality. I don't know. Maybe it's just bad luck they scheduled the VMA's on Miley's laundry day? OMG! You 2?
So, Amber Rose and Blac Chyna showed up at MTV's Video Music Awards last night wearing the same outfit. I mean, seriously, they couldn't have checked in with each other? Okay, turn out, they did. This was a coordinated effort. Same material, different dresses, both sporting words and phrases that people - Amber and Blac would call them "haters" - have used when describing them. "Whore," "Stripper," "Bitch," "Gold Digger" - things like that. Some are calling it a blow for feminism. Others are thinking they were mugged by a graffiti artist. What do you think?   #VMAs: So is this a feminist statement on @Blacchyna & @DaRealAmberRose or seriously not? pic.twitter.com/ClkdO6ZHYL — Bonnie Fuller (@BonnieFuller) August 31, 2015
