There’s an app for pretty much everything these days- including ones to rid you of your sins!  C’mon, you know you have a few.  Gluttony, for instance- it’s safe to say that smokers these days are gluttons for punishment.  The risks associated with this nasty habit have been proven time and time again- even pictured, in grisly detail, right on the box! If you’re ready to kick the butts for good, try the Quitter app, which reminds you how much money you could be saving if you weren’t shelling out for cigs.  Is greed your sin of choice?  Shore up some karma by giving back- download Catchafire, which helps you find a philanthropic organization that matches up with your skill set.  The internet is a breeding ground for the deadly sin of sloth- if you’ve ever been swept into the endless time suck that is Facebook then you know this is true. For students, the plugin Hoot.me will turn that wasted time into productivity by enabling you to arrange study groups.  If pride is your vice, use Opinonaided, where you can talk about yourself to your own little heart’s content.  And while we all feel a little wrath every now and then, Twitter is not the place to hash it out with a friend (or enemy).  In lieu of a tweet battle, get the RageGage Connect, a gadget that lets you “punch” your online friends in effigy.  Because remember- once you’ve tweeted something, it can’t be un-tweeted. Showing Your True Colors
It's entirely possible the world went insane on Thursday. Someone posted a picture of a two-toned striped dress to Tumblr on Wednesday, and asked simply: “Guys please help me - is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can't agree…" And then the digital world exploded. Is it white and gold? Or blue and black? It's turning into an almost uncivil war. All sorts of people weighed in, and their opinions are strong. Some, like Taylor Swift, are simply confused. I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow. I'm confused and scared. PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) February 27, 2015 The folks at The Today Show have the skinny. Or do they? Working Out with Queen Bey
Ever wonder how Beyonce keeps herself fit and toned? Wonder no more. Because on Wednesday, the Queen herself released an Instagram video to show herself in action, keeping fit and getting toned. The video is speeded up to the tune of "Eye of the Tiger," but it shows Beyonce moves. Think you can keep up?     Celebrating the 5th anniversary of Let's Move! #GimmeFive @michelleobama 💪 A video posted by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on Feb 25, 2015 at 1:52pm PST

Llamas on the Lam
A couple of llamas got loose in Sun City, Arizona yesterday afternoon, and the helicopter-shot video of the event quickly went viral. Fox News picked it up, and (sorry) ran with it. Shepard Smith provided running commentary on the "llama trot," and some of it is pretty funny. It's just not clear that it's intentionally funny. "Were they someone's, like, backyard llamas?" he wondered. "Were they babysitting?" "This is something I've not seen recently in New York," he said, "and we seem to see all kinds of weirdness up here in the New York." We'll call this a slow news day phenomenon...

How is This a Thank You?
Kim Kardashian just reached 27 million followers on Instagram. This is where you say "Whoopee" or "Yahoo," I guess. So to say thanks, Kim posted a selfie to her Instagram page. A selfie showing part of her butt wrapped around a pretty small thong bottom. I'm sorry, but how is this a thank you? Is there anyone on the planet who hasn't yet seen all of the KimButt? I daresay no...     27 mil!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I love you all!!!!! 😘 A photo posted by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on Feb 26, 2015 at 1:42pm PST

From T&A to Big Bang Theory
Melissa Rauch plays a scientist on The Big Bang Theory. The other night on Conan, she talked about how she started performing at a very young age, in her parents' basement. Her parents encouraged her in the arts, and let her see shows that maybe weren't appropriate for someone her age. The show was "A Chorus Line," and Melissa's go-to song - lyrics, dance moves and all - was "Tits & Ass," a song about the plastic surgery one dancer gets to help her get more roles. And of course, Melissa has a home movie to share with the world...

This Guy Had the Hot Hand!
Florida State University's basketball squad lost to Miami on Wednesday by four points, 81 - 77. But that's only how the story ends. How Florida State got that close - that's the real story. Because freshman guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes scored 30 points. Not on the night, but in the final 4 minutes and 39 seconds of the game. Not enough for the win, but more than enough to impress a lot of folks... Got Frozen Fever Yet?
The folks at Disney released the trailer for Frozen Fever, a short film featuring all your favorite Frozen characters this week. It will be seen in theaters in front of Disney's Cinderella, which will be released on March 13. And it seems like people are hot for it already. The short, that is. In the first day that it hit the Internet, it grabbed close to 2.5 million views. Not bad for a short film, huh?

Ice-T Ices Cartoon Voices
A lot of people know Ice-T from his music, and his movies, and his long-running stint as one of the detectives on Law & Order: SVU. But a lot less know him for his work as a cartoon voiceover artist. (Stay with the bit. It works if you stay with the bit.) Ice visited Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show this week, and revealed that he did some extensive voiceover work - you know, to pay the bills - on shows like G.I. Joe, Scooby Doo, and Dora the Explorer. Check it out...

"Unless You Know How to Make Jokes, Don't Do It!"
Giuliana Rancic's comments about Zendaya's dreadlocks - smelling like patchouli oil and weed - during the Fashion Police episode focusing on the Oscars is still stirring controversy. Yesterday on The View, Whoopi Goldberg took the others on the show to school about the difference between the late Joan Rivers, who made Fashion Police the iconic show it was, and Giuliana Rancic, who is not Joan Rivers. Whoopi didn't defend Giuliani - not even close. But she doesn't think she was being racist either. "She was just ignorant," says Whoopi. Check out the clip....

Giuliani Gets Stewartized
Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has been taking a lot of heat over comments he made about President Obama not loving America. The reaction has come from all quarters - even some conservative quarters that Giuliani probably considered safe havens until now. No surprise that Jon Stewart - never once considered a conservative safe haven - would have some choice words for the former mayor. To say that Jon eviscerated him is a very fair comment indeed. Nice to see that even as Jon's retirement from The Daily Show draws near, he's still got a lot of bite left.   The Daily Show Get More: Daily Show Full Episodes,The Daily Show on Facebook,Daily Show Video Archive

Get Off Your Duff For The DUFF
Seems like all the movie talk these days has centered on 50 Shades of Grey. A little bit of controversy, a best-selling book series, and boom! You've got a blockbuster before it was even released. Other movies tend to get put in the shadows by films like that. Here's one that looks like it could stand a little light. I stumbled on this while I was looking for something else - isn't that always the way with Internet surfing? The movie is called The DUFF - an acronym for Designated Ugly Fat Friend. It's from a Young Adult novel, written by a 17-year-old while she was a senior in high school, about being a senior in high school. The trailer sure catches your attention - enough to make me want to go to see it. It's got elements of Mean Girls to it, but it doesn't feel quite as mean. It opened on February 20, and you don't need to bring any paraphernalia to watch it either.

Like a Tumbler
Madonna was closing out the show for the Brit Awards, roughly the equivalent of the Grammys in the UK, with a rendition of "Living for Love" on Wednesday. And during the song, something happened with her cape, and she went for a tumble off the stage and down some stairs. The folks at Hollywood Life have the story...   Not to worry - she's fine. And she blamed the whole thing on her Armani cape being tied too tightly.     Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! ❤️#livingforlove A photo posted by Madonna (@madonna) on Feb 25, 2015 at 2:50pm PST

A Snow-Covered Cottage Industry
When Mother Nature dumps 100 inches and counting of frozen white precipitation on you, you spend an awful lot of time cursing as you move that stuff around. Not Kyle Waring. This entrepreneur, who lives on the Massachusetts coastline north of Boston, had a better idea. Package the white stuff, and sell it to people in warmer climates who don't get their fair share of snow. And that's how ShipSnowYo.com was born. It started with half-liter bottles for $19.99, but a lot of it melted by the time it got where it was going. That's when he started packing six pounds of snow and shipping it for $89. He told Boston.com that even though some will melt along the way, there's still enough frozen stuff to make 10 to 15 snowballs. You can also get ten-pounds - a snowball party pack, I guess - for $119. Ingenious. Time to start thinking about ways to sell my grass clippings this summer. Stay tuned! Is 10lbs of snow enough? pic.twitter.com/GsjymU7eNO — ShipSnowYo.com! ❄️ (@shipsnowyo) February 25, 2015

Can This Be Unheard?
Lady Gaga did quite nicely with her reboot of Julie Andrews' songs from The Sound of Music during Sunday's Oscars celebration. Now a pair of metal musicians have cut into another Julie Andrews classic - this time "Supercalifragilisticexpialidoscious" from Mary Poppins. I'm not 100% sure this was necessary. And I'm pretty sure you won't be able to unhear it. You are warned!

This Ain't Like Any Aquaman You've Seen Before
Zack Snyder, the director of Dawn of Justice, the new film that pits Batman against Superman, has decided to include a lot of other superheroes in the film. One of them is Aquaman, who used to be seen as a blond-headed Speedo leotard-wearing guy who could live underwater and on land. Honestly, I never quite understood the fascination. Except for his ability to breathe underwater, what was the guy's purpose. With the new Aquaman, no worries. He's simply kick-butt, and that's probably his purpose. The role is played by Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones. And this picture that Zack Snyder tweeted certainly conjures up the Khal Drogo we all remember so fondly... There is only one true King. #unitetheseven pic.twitter.com/RDFG8jbuI6 — ZackSnyder (@ZackSnyder) February 20, 2015

Bad Girl, Bad Girl, Whatcha Gonna Do?
When your world freezes, you've got to do what you've got to do. A couple of weeks ago, a police department issued a warrant for the arrest of Punxsatawney Phil, the groundhog who promised six more weeks of winter - but failed to tell how severe those six weeks would be. This week, in Hanahan, South Carolina, the local cops slapped cuffs on Elsa, the snow queen for Disney's Frozen, after she tried to put the freeze on the water fountain outside the PD HQ. South Carolina's been getting some uncharacteristically cold weather, including black ice, and the law hoped that putting Elsa out of commission, even for a bit, would make things better. I'm not sure it helped. You watch the news account, and judge for yourself. And see just how quickly Elsa ratted out her friend, Jack Frost...  WCIV-TV | ABC News 4 - Charleston News, Sports, Weather

Wheel of Musical Impressions with Christina Aguilera
Wheel of Musical Impressions is becoming a semi-regular feature on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. This week, Christina Aguilera visited, and played the game with Jimmy. The concept is simple. Hit a button, and it presents another singer and a silly song for the player to sing in that singer's voice. Jimmy did nicely with David Bowie and Michael McDonald. But Christina hit it out of the park with her impressions of Cher, Britney Spears and Shakira. Check it out...

Thundersnow, Songified
An enterprising musician has taken the Weather Channel's Jim Cantore's delight with the meteorological phenomenon called thundersnow and set it to music. You probably remember seeing the raw video of Jim going out of his skull outside Boston during their most recent big snowstorm. As he stood outside - properly attired, of course - thunder roared overhead. A rare occasion in winter, but this was the perfect storm. Well, for Jim, anyway. The song isn't anything you can dance to, but it sure is fun to watch.

Oh, and My Spell Check is Broken
Who would have guessed that one of the most controversial things at the Oscar celebration on Sunday would be a comment by the folks at E!'s Fashion Police. It started when co-host Giuliana Rancic took a shot at singer Zendaya's dreadlocks: "“I feel like she smells like pachouli oil.” And as the camera cut away to a picture of Zendaya, someone else said, "Or weed." Rumors flew that is was Kelly Osbourne who made that comment, and now she's all over Twitter, not only saying she didn't do it, but saying she could well leave the show over it. Oh, and she clearly doesn't let Spell Check or autocorrect rule her world. Let's play a new game and count the typos in these next four tweets, shall we? I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. "A Soulless Twitter Troll"
ESPN suspended host Keith Olbermann after he made some thoughtless comments about some students at Penn State who raised $13 million in the school's annual dance marathon to fight pediatric cancer. A Penn State alumna tweeted the news to Olbermann, and he responded with "Pitiful." And that started a Twitter war that resulted in Olbermann's ouster - but only for the rest of the week. Check out a few of the salvos... @KeithOlbermann so you have no opinion on Penn State raising over $13 million for pediatric cancer research? — Colin Benner (@ColinBenner) February 24, 2015 .@ColinBenner Good for you. The timing seems to roughly coincide with the announcement of his suspension... I apologize for the PSU tweets. A Glory-ous Oscar Moment
One of the best and most poignant moments of Sunday's Oscar awards show was John Legend and Common performing "Glory" from the soundtrack of Selma. A very moving performance on so many levels that brought many in the audience - both in the theater and around the world - to tears. No surprise that it picked up the Academy Award for original song.

"Unfortunately Unable to Feature"
The internet was buzzing all day yesterday about the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' failure to include Joan Rivers in the "In Memoriam" segment on Sunday's Oscar show. Many people thought the snub was simply a mistake. I mean, maybe the Academy didn't have access to Joan's IMDb page. But forgetting her movie career, Joan made the pre-Oscar red carpet arrivals an EVENT. Without her sideline snarkiness, the Oscars would open and close inside the theater. Here's the worst part. It wasn't a mistaken snub. It was an on-purpose snub. According to BuzzFeed.com, an official for the Academy stated, “Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the ‘In Memoriam’ segment of this year’s Oscar show. She is, however, included in our ‘In Memoriam’ gallery on Oscar.com.” Joan's picture is there - number 68 of 129, alphabetically sandwiched between director Alain Resnais and film editor Tom Rolf, both of whom were among the 50 or so folks who were fortunately able to feature in the memorial segment presented at the show...

"Acting is a Noble Profession"
Neil Patrick Harris did a bit of a spoof on a sequence from Birdman during the Oscars show on Sunday night. It was one of the funnier moments in the show, but you really can't help but wonder if it was timed to put an idea into some advertising executive's head. Wouldn't NPH be just the guy to jazz up a Hanes commercial? Or to take over for The Biebs as the next Calvin Klein guy?

Led Xylophone
I scoffed when I read the teaser. "This xylophone cover of Led Zeppelin is the only one you need," according to The Daily Dot. Xylophones and Zeppelin? Can't be. I scoff no more. Good enough for Jimmy Page, Zeppelin's founder and lead guitarist, shared it on his Facebook page, saying it was "too good not to share."
